Hi Folks - as we approach Christmas and the New Year, many regular activities will be taking a break and resuming some time in January. I will do my best to keep you informed.
The final night for the bar this year will be Saturday 21 December - Tenori will be performing for us on that night.
RURAL AID NOV 17

THE LINEDANCING GEMS would again like to thank all those who attended the fundraising event and especially those that took part in the video, you made the day!!! Â To my dancers on the day, thank you, you did a perfect performance. Â
Our fundraising efforts I am happy to say, including what was donated over the bar, was $1711.15. Â Well done Gemmies !!!
The receipt shows $1,636.15 and there were also some donations taken by the card machine at the bar.
Congratulations to Music Special Songs winners Extra Pins. Motley Crew won the handicap section, and Pearly Greats re-united themselves with Oscar the Wooden Spoon.
Sadly no Trivia on Wednesday 11 December - HOC Xmas Dinner instead.
On Wednesday 18 December it will be the 200th Trivia. A chance for all teams to score 100% in MUSIC Favourites. The rumour that there will be some special prizes that night is in fact true - so make sure that you are there.
Trivia will resume on Wednesday 8 January - General Knowledge.
LAKESIDE CAFE
Good news folks !! The barista coffee machine is back and working like a dream. Sadly though the cafe is now closed until Wednesday 8 January. This will give our hard working cafe vollies a chance to re-charge their batteries for the New Year.
A huge round of applause to all our cafe volunteers.
YOGA
Lea, our yoga instructor, is taking a break from now until the New Year. Classes for the rest of the year have finished, and Lea will be resuming on Thursday 9th January
AQUA GEMS
The final classes for 2024 will be on Tuesday 10 December and Friday 13 December (oh my gosh Friday the 13th). Classes will resume Tuesday 21 January and Friday 24 January.
Aqua Gems will be holding their Xmas party on Tuesday 10 December at 11am. Please let Karen know if you wish to attend. For further details call Karen on 0422 407 645. Remember to bring a plate.
STRETCH & EXTEND
Final class for 2024 will be Monday 9 December.
Classes will resume on Monday 13 January.
SALTY SAILORS ANNUAL REGATTA
The Salty Sailors' Annual Regatta will now take place on Saturday 14 December 9.00am so grab your bubbly and come down to the deck to watch the races and encourage the sailors. There will be 6 races on the day, 3 for the DF65 division (smaller boats) and 3 for the DF95 division (larger boats). The sailors will be competing for gold, silver or bronze medals in each division and their name on the Salty Sailors perpetual trophy housed in the games room bar cabinet.
GEMLIFE CHARITY WEEK
Trestle tables will be at the back of the clubhouse from today. Please, no out-of-date goods, no alcohol, no cash, no gift vouchers. Gifts for children - please wrap the gift and mark BOY or GIRL and AGE group.

BINGO XMAS PARTY
All past and current players are invited to attend a Bingo Xmas Party on Monday 16 December at 11:30am with Bingo to follow at 1:30pm. Bring a plate to share and BYO drinks.
Karin and Karen are calling their last games and will be saying farewell after 5 years.
PROSPECTA UTILITIES
Our good friends from Prospecta will be here on Tuesday 17 December to help us all with Prospecta Invoices and how best to utilise their website. Start time will be high noon. Come along and have all your questions answered.
XMAS RAFFLE & CAROLS
Vikki and Cath will be doing a MONSTER end of year raffle to be drawn in the clubhouse on Friday 20 December. On the same night, our resort will be putting on a spectacular talent show. Xmas Treats, Solo Artists, Dancers, Singing Gems. LED Carol Candles will be available for a $1 donation. Get there early to grab the best seats.

The fabulous Tenori are back once again for a Christmas special. Only a few tickets left, $20 per person - and that includes a free drink - astonishing value !!
