Welcome to this week's news and views from the best over 50s resort on the planet (including Sydney).
For all of you who have made healthy-type new year resolutions and intend to stick to them, there are several activities and facilities here in our resort to help you. The indoor swimming pool and the Gym are open 24/7, and the outdoor pool is open from 7am to 9pm. Activities include tennis, pickleball, walking, stretch & extend, step, aquarobics, line dancing, sizzle & stomp, gentle exercise with Naomi and yoga.
XMAS DECORATIONS
A big big thank you to Patricia and all her helpers for putting away all the Xmas decorations in the clubhouse.
It now looks a bit bare. Anyone for leaving the decorations up all year ?
WEDNESDAY
Good things are happening on Wednesday. The Lakeside Cafe will be open at 10:30am, and for all the trivia lovers out there, General Knowledge Trivia starts at 6:30pm. BYO nibbles AND drinks !!
SOCIAL GROUP NEWS
A couple of dates for you to take note of. Feb 15 will be a Hawaiian Night. Live band and the wood-fired Pizza Van. Ticket sales will be Monday 20 January.
April 5 will be a Masquerade Ball, which sounds very intriguing. More details to follow soon.
Anglicare has sent a Certificate of Appreciation for all the toys and goodies which were collected in GemLife Bribie Island prior to Christmas.
Our co-ordinator, Vikki Mullan, wishes to thank you all for your wonderful donations.
