RENT INCREASE NOV 2024
If you haven't applied for your rent rebate yet and you wish to do so online, here are some simple instructions.
Easy-peasy if you have the myGov app.
Go to Centrelink - and from the menu choose My Details - then Personal and Contact Details - then Update Accommodation Details - in the Accommodation Box click on Update - and then Edit Rent Amount. Answer all the questions, review your answers and sign your life away.
Congratulations to Trivia winners Eight Pins who once again took home the bacon. Peeps On Point won the handicap section, and Moonrakers won Oscar the Wooden Spoon without any difficulty.

Your Christmas dinner tickets are now in your letterbox. The GemLife Xmas dinners will take place over three nights - Monday 9 Dec, Tuesday 10 Dec and Wednesday 11 Dec.

Good news folks !! Lakeside Cafe will re-open on Wednesday 20 November with a twist !! FREE tea and instant coffee with food orders. How generous is that !! Our cafe ladies are so full of wonderful ideas. How lucky we are.
TABLE TENNIS
Peter Dinka is organising regular table tennis sessions in the Games Room every Thursday from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Just turn up or give him a yell on 0417 910 358
RURAL AID Sunday 17 Nov
Everybody is welcome to join our lovely line dancing girls for a FREE sausage sizzle, a raffle, the Achy Breaky Heart video and a line dancing demo !!
Make sure to bring some cash with you for the raffle. All proceeds go to Rural Aid Australia - helping our farmers to keep providing food for all Aussies.
WALKERS
Young Bonnie tells me that the start time for Monday, Wednesday and Friday walkers is now at the ungodly start time of 5:30am. Usual meeting place.
FRIDAY PIE DAY 22 NOVEMBER
The pies on offer will be BEEFY'S pies - they are so yummy. Please note that there is a small price increase - price is now $6 per pie.
Make sure you fill out the order form neatly (your best handwriting please), correct money in a zip lock bag and place the whole lot in the Pie/Hamburger mailbox. Just in case you have lost your calculator, two pies will cost $12.
SINGING GEMS
Our very own band of talented vocalists will be performing a few popular contemporary songs on Friday after the raffle. Sit back and enjoy the music before you enjoy one of Beefy's, I mean Cathy's, pies.
DOCTOR ZHIVAGO AT THE CINEMA

There is a General meeting for all residents in the clubhouse at 1:30 next Wednesday. Please make every effort to attend.
SALTY SAILORS ANNUAL REGATTA
The Salty Sailors will hold their Annual Regatta on Saturday 7th December from 9.00am so grab your bubbly and come down to the deck to watch the races and encourage the sailors. There will be 6 races on the day, 3 for the DF65 division (smaller boats) and 3 for the DF95 division (larger boats). The sailors will be competing for gold, silver or bronze medals in each division and their name on the Salty Sailors perpetual trophy housed in the games room bar cabinet.

The fabulous Tenori are back once again for a Christmas special. Only a few tickets left $20 per person - and that includes a free drink - how good is that !!
